Define team work
A lot of job openings include the requirement of “has to be a team player”. The problem is companies don’t define what a team player supposed to be.
It was never required in my job. I solely work for one person.
And now the working requirement seems to be shifted suddenly some staff required me to be a team player. The strange thing is, it didn’t come from my boss. Well he’s always been result oriented, so he doesn’t care about team work or single fighter, as long as the job's done.
I don’t have problem if this is to be, I’ve worked in a team before and that experience was a very good learning process. Everybody knew their part, everybody knew the expectations and met them, everybody knew every job, everybody were willing, and as a result everybody can back up anybody who’s overloaded or unable to complete their tasks.
So now I really wonder what the other party’s definition of team work. The past few months all I can see is that it’s where people are backing her up, helping her doing her tasks, all according to her term, while she does..(God knows what).
Now I completely have a problem with that. Other people doing her work and she gets the credit? Cleaning up her s*it yet still got the blame? Isn’t life grand.. at least for her.
Well, I don’t think she’s been in any basket ball court, let alone playing in a team against another team, but with this kind of thinking, I don’t think I want to be in the same team as hers. Not in a million years.
